It is the second largest and second busiest library on Hawaii Island. We have a drive-through bookdrop and won an exemplary architectural design award from the Commission on Persons with Disabilities.

Design and build a LEGO Community!
In this program series, you will have the opportunity to work with local architect Maziyar Rajaei of Oculus, LLC. to learn about what it takes to build a community from the ground up. Enjoy libations in the library! Come talk books, or just talk story at Mocktails & Talk Tales, a (somewhat) social club for the bookish. Bring a friend, or come solo to meet like-minded library lovers for a zero-proof and zero-cost evening out. We’ll serve light refreshments and literary mocktails inspired by Tim Federle’s Tequila Mockingbird and Are You There, God? It’s Me, Margarita.
