Being Mortal: Medicine and What Matters in the End

August 23, 2017 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Dr. Atul Gawande

Join us for a free screening and discussion of the PBS Frontline documentary Being Mortal. Based on the best-selling book by Dr. Atul Gawande, this film explores the hopes of patients and families facing life-limiting illness and their relationships with the doctors, nurses, and family members who care for them. Discussion will be led by Hospice Maui staff Dr. Nancy Long and bereavement counselor Joyce Lechuga.

Program schedule is subject to change. Contact the library (10 days for Oahu; 15 days for neighbor islands) in advance to request a sign language interpreter or if special accommodations are needed.
