Hawaii State Library Book Group – “1984” by George Orwell and the works of Mo Willems

April 20, 2017 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

For the month of April, the Hawaii State Library Book Group will discuss the classic 1984 by George Orwell.  1984 has come and gone, but George Orwell’s prophetic, nightmarish vision is timelier than ever.

To lighten up the mood, we will also discuss the works of Mo Willems, author of the ever-popular Pigeon picture books and Elephant & Piggie easy readers.  You are invited to choose any Mo Willem’s book you’d like, though it may be difficult to read just one since his short, humor-packed books are highly addictive! Click here to search the library system’s collection of Mo Willems stories.

The HSL Book Group meets on the third Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Language, Literature, and History Section.  New members are always welcome.  No registration necessary.
