Hawaii State Library Presents The Spring Wind Quintet

The Spring Quintet

Hawaii State Library presents The Spring Wind Quintet – the five musicians will perform the following  musical pieces: (1.) Adrien Barthe, “Passacaille”; (2.) Hawaiian Mele, Arranged by Martha Schweitzer: “Beautiful Kahana,” “Kamehameha Waltz,” “The Cockeyed Mayor of Kaunakakai,” and “Liliu E.”; (3.) Gunther Schuller, wind Quintet, Second Movement; (4.) Eric Ewazen, “Bays” for Wind Quintet; and (5.) Jacques Ibert, “Trois Pieces Breves,” First Movement.

This one-hour program is recommended for all ages and will be held in the first floor lobby. Program schedule is subject to change. Please contact the library at least 10 days in advance to request a sign language interpreter or if special accommodations are needed.
