Owl Pellet Dissection

Barn Owl

What are owl pellets?  They are balls of fur and bone that an owl coughed up since they are not able to digest bones, fur and feathers.  You may discover the bones of a mouse or a bird!  Did you know that there are two species of owl that live in Hawaii?  Learn about owls in a fun and entertainingly gross way!  The pellets have been sanitized and do not smell bad.  This program is appropriate for ages 7 and up.

Should a sign language interpreter or other accommodations be needed, please notify the library at least 10 days before the event.
