Through the Kokua Hawaiʻi Foundation, Plastic Free Hawaiʻi provides resources, tools, and training to educate schools, business partners, and community members about the environmental and health benefits of going plastic free to minimize single-use plastics in our islands.  The program supports communities and schools in coordinating beach cleanups, film screenings, and docent training to deliver Plastic Free Hawaiʻi educational presentations.

Through the end of April 2017, Kapolei Public Library is hosting a Plastic Free Hawaiʻi display in the first floor glass case.  This display features a variety of items including student artwork, information on Kokua Hawaiʻi Foundation and Plastic Free Hawaiʻi, tips on how to go plastic free, and images of wildlife harmed by discarded plastic.
