Important Alert #2:  The Kaneohe Public Library will be closed for approximately one month, starting January 2, 2019 for a parking lot improvement project.  The book drop will be closed from 10 a.m. on Monday, December 31, 2018  and remain closed until the library reopens. During the closure, borrowed items may be returned to any public library. Updates on the reopening of the Kaneohe Public Library will be posted on our website. One important part of planning for retirement is understanding your Social Security. This free one-hour educational presentation will provide information on how to maximize your social security benefits. It will help you gain a better understanding of the options and the steps you need to take before filing for benefits and what to look for afterwards. Along the way, you will learn some fun facts, a little history and be on the way to make the decision that is right for you.

Lis Arcienega,  a Maui resident, is an insurance advisor and financial strategist. She strives to help families, individuals and our communities become financially literate. Lis holds a Master’s degree from Hunter College in New York City.
