Anatomy of a Hawaiian Quilt (Display)

Come and see the major stages to creating a Hawaiian quilt in the 1st-floor display case at Kapolei Public Library now through June 27. Each of these simple, hand-made designs of multi-layered material show the complex construction of a Hawaiian quilt at each major part of production. Informative explanation sheets accompany the display. Created by Genara Buza-Campos, a generous and creative member of the Kapolei community, with the assistance of her husband, Edwin.

The Hawaii State Library is pleased to present a rare look at Chinese-American women's history told through legal cases fought in the Supreme Court of the U.S. and the supreme courts of its states.  Herstory features rare photographs and case descriptions of the efforts by Chinese-American women to gain legal status in the U.S. 8 hanging banners and 9 display boards are on display now at Kapolei Public Library 2nd-floor center reading area and mezzanine railings.
