Not sure how to use a computer mouse?  Need help in setting up e-mail?  The Library provides a free one-hour, one-on-one Kupuna Computer Orientation session led by one of the Adult Services librarian. The session will help you learn new computer skills and provide the confidence that will enrich your life in the digital age. Availability of sessions varies. Starting Tuesday, August 1st, bring a smartphone or tablet device to the Reference Desk and meet one-on-one with a library staff for quick instruction. Six HSPLS apps are available: Libraries Hawaiʻi (virtual library card) OverDrive (e-books & audiobooks) Kindle (e-books) Pressreader (newspapers & magazines) RB Digital (audiobooks and magazines) Mango Languages (language learning system) These services requires a valid HSPLS library card. Frustrated with e-books?  Bring your HSPLS library card and your laptop, smartphone, tablet, and/or wi-fi enabled e-reader, and let us help!  We'll show you how to download free e-books from the HSPLS website using Overdrive, either the program or the app.  You can also add an app to your tablet or smartphone called Libraries Hawaii, which will act like your library card on that device.  Program size is limited; seating is limited to five attendees.
