Your PIN, or Personal Identification
Number, is an important number to remember. Your PIN,
along with your library card barcode number, allows you to
access your personal library account information. You will
also need your PIN when using online services like requesting
library materials via the HSPLS Public Access Catalog, making
reservations for Internet computer use, or using electronic
databases.
By default, your PIN code is the last four digits of the
telephone number you provided when you registered for your
library card. If you can no longer recall that number, you
will have to visit any public library branch in person to get
your PIN code. You will need to bring a valid picture ID
and your library card so the staff can verify your identity.
You may change your PIN code to any four number
combination of your choice. Go to
http://ipac.librarieshawaii.org and click on "my account."
Type in your barcode number and your existing PIN to access your
account. When you get to the Account Overview, click on
"profile." Scroll down to Personal Identification Number,
follow instructions, and click "update."
