Explora Middle Schools - Designed with middle school students and educators in mind, this database provides age-appropriate content from popular magazines, reference books, primary source documents, news articles, and Associated Press videos. Explora features thousands of topics covering a wide range of subjects including art and music, literature, language arts, geography, history, social studies, world cultures and languages, science, technology, engineering, mathematics, health and sports and topic overviews that provide students with a starting point for research.

Funk & Wagnalls New World Encylopedia - A student encyclopedia, Funk & Wagnalls New Encyclopedia database indexes over 25,000 records, covering an array of topics. Full text for each record may be easily accessed by double clicking on the topic from the display. The database contains various images, offers brief biographies as well as information in a variety of subject areas.

Gale Virtual Reference Library - A selective collection of highly requested resources for completing Middle School level research papers. The resources are grouped by related topics including Environment, Medicine, Nation and the World, Social Science and many other useful topical groups.

Middle Search Plus - Provides full text for more than 150 popular middle school magazines, including Junior Scholastic, Sports Illustrated for Kids, Science News for Kids, and Time for Kids, as well as general audience magazines with content useful for middle-school students. All articles are assigned a lexile reading level. Full text is also available for thousands of biographies and historical essays. Coverage back to 1990.

National Geographic Magazines - Features the complete archive of the flagship magazine, from October 1888 to the most current issue. Every page and every photograph is fully searchable. Also includes, under For Kids tab, access to National Geographic Kids magazines from February 2009 to May 2013.
