OverDrive: New and Improved Features Coming November 2

OverDrive, our eBook lending library, will become faster and easier-to-use on November 2 with some changes to the way you find and check out eBooks.

What’s New?

  • Better Browsing via Simple Availability Banners 
    • Titles have easy-to-understand availability banners (see below)
    • Action links let you borrow or place holds immediately
  •  Find Titles Using Subjects Link and Collections Menu
    • Lets you browse all subjects or explore featured content
  • Get Whole Digital Library on Any Device                                                                                            
    • Browse and search our entire digital collection on any device, from anywhere
  • Easier Borrowing                                                                                                                                      
    • Besides your library card, sign in with your OverDrive account or Facebook account
    • Easy-to-customize lending periods
      • Extend or shorten lending period for one title from the title’s details page

In state observance of Prince Jonah Kūhiō Kalanianaʻole Day, most public libraries will be closed on Monday, March 27, 2023.  Oahu libraries that are normally open on Sundays will be closed to observe the holiday on March 26th and be open on Monday, March 27th. Libraries that are normally closed on Mondays will observe the holiday and be closed on Tuesday, March 28th.
