HPR brings “Bridging the Gap” to Hawaii State Library

Hawaii State LibraryDJ Nick reading a bookHawaii Public Radio’s (HPR) eclectic music show Bridging the Gap will host a four-day residency at the Hawaii State Library from May 28 to 31, 2019. The sessions, which will be recorded for later broadcast on HPR-1, will feature selections from the Hawaii State Library’s collection. Songs will be curated by Nick Yee, also known as dj mr.nick, along with co-hosts Paige Okamura and Harrison Patiño.

Visitors are encouraged to stop by and meet dj mr.nick, and also explore the library’s extensive music holdings firsthand. Sessions will be held daily May 28-30 from 12-2 p.m., and on Friday, May 31 from 10 a.m.–1 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public, and suitable for all ages.
