Explore A Universe of Stories this summer at your local public library! Buckle up and blast off with the Hawaii State Public Library System as it launches its annual Summer Reading Program on June 1st! Sign up online at librarieshawaii.beanstack.org or visit your local library Cost: FREE
The six-week Summer Reading Program will showcase free performances, space-themed movie times, crafts, displays and fun activities for readers of all ages. The more minutes you read, the more chances you earn toward winning our lucky grand prize drawing, courtesy of Alaska Airlines: Roundtrip for Four to anywhere Alaska Airlines® flies!
“We encourage everyone to join us in discovering A Universe of Stories this summer” said State Librarian Stacey Aldrich. “Reading during the summer is a wonderful opportunity to dive into stories that inspire, ignite our imagination, and see the world from a new perspective.”
Read about space, science fiction, the ancient Polynesian skill of wayfinding and Hawaii’s role in astronomical research and discovery. Keiki to kupuna are invited to participate at all public libraries statewide and online, June 1-July 13, 2019.
