Aloha Library Friends,
Mahalo for your support and patience as we continue to evaluate and adjust our operations because of the COVID-19 outbreak. In response to the State and Federal guidance around social distancing, we have made the difficult decision to close all locations to public access effective Wednesday, March 18 – Tuesday, March 31. All bookmobile services will also be suspended during this time.
Thank you for your continued cooperation and understanding during this uncertain time. We look forward to welcoming you back to your favorite branch of the Hawaii State Public Library System soon.
Don’t worry about fines and due dates. Due dates and holds will automatically be extended to accommodate the closure period. To support operations and efficient services, we will need to temporarily turn off the hold feature for new holds until we reopen.
You can continue to drop off your library materials at any one of our branch libraries.
We are always open at librarieshawaii.org with many amazing online resources available to access from home 24/7. Our online collection includes:
Access these resources and more for free using your library card.
We realize that this may present a hardship to our patrons, but we are working on innovative solutions to help preserve library access. We will continue to post new alerts as updates occur.
