The Hawaii State Public Library System is pleased to launch a curated digital collection on Peace, Prosperity, and Progress: The 75th Commemoration of the End of World War II. The collection includes videos, photos, interviews and other media to commemorate the end of WWII, for free for the public.
This year marks the 75th anniversary of the end of WWII and will be commemorated with a special ceremony aboard the U.S.S. Missouri on September 2, 2020.
Hawaii State Public Library System has partnered with the 75th Anniversary of the End of WWII Commemoration Committee to highlight this historic moment. To complement the commemoration’s many events, the Hawaii State Public Library System has curated a digital collection with activities available through the month of August. The public is invited to join and learn more about the people, time period, culture and events leading up to the end of World War II.
