Author Tae Keller with book cover, When You Trap a TigerMeet the 2021 Newbery Award-winning author of When You Trap a Tiger! Tae Keller was born and raised in Honolulu, where she grew up listening to her Korean grandmother’s tiger stories. In 2018, she released her first book, The Science of Breakable Things.

The John Newbery Medal is a literary award given by the Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC), a division of the American Library Association (ALA), to the author of “the most distinguished contribution to American literature for children”.

This free 30-minute Zoom event is suitable for ages 8+. Registration is required!
