Free copies of the booklet, “Homeowner’s Handbook to Prepare for Natural Hazards,” will be available at all public libraries in early December, while supplies last.
Now in its 4th edition, this publication by the University of Hawaii Sea Grant College Program includes updates on evacuation, planning and retrofit options, plus new additions that address volcanoes and climate change.
You can read the online version of the handbook, and find more resources on preparing for natural hazards, at the Sea Grant website.
