Addiction: What is it?

Dr. Wright has over two decades of experience in treatment services and will talk about the nature and nurture aspects of addiction, while Travis will share his personal experience of addiction, treatment, and recovery. Come learn about addiction, the impact on individuals and families, and available resources!

Niki Wright, PsyD, CSAC is the Director of Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center’s intensive outpatient substance abuse treatment program, Malama Recovery Services, and integrated pain management program, Ho῾okūola Hale.

Travis Purdy, graduate of Kamehameha Schools in Honolulu, is the founder and CEO of IMUA Health Group. His primary role is to increase accessibility of essential behavioral health services in the State of Hawai’i.
