Aloha from LavaLand -Documentary Screening-

April 22, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

lava flowing like a stream through molten rock

On June 27, 2014, Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano began flowing toward the center of Pahoa. The flow threatened to cut off the town’s main access road, leaving residents of this already isolated community to rely solely on one another.
“Aloha from LavaLand explores what it really means to live in such an unpredictable paradise and what the incident can teach us about community, sustainability, harmony and Aloha.”
Come join us for an hour long documentary that empathizes the importance of community building aloha.
Brief facilitated group discussion will follow.
