An introduction to the mysterious Kalalau Trail

January 14, 2026 @ 5:30 pm - 6:45 pm

Have you ever wanted to know a little more about the mysterious Kalalau Trail?

Meet with Hawaiʻi State Park’s Interpretive Ranger Tom for an hour of interesting facts, stories, and images from the Nāpali Wilderness. Together we will take a virtual journey viewing colorful images from today, and a few historical photographs from the past.

The Kalalau Trail and Nāpali Coast are visually unequaled and are a vital part of Kauaʻi’s ecological and cultural community. Join us at the Princeville Library for an introduction to the amazing, beautiful, and dangerous place.

Bring your curiosity and Aloha spirit, but leave your hiking shoes at home.

Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required. Program schedules are subject to change.
