21 Apr: Regenerative Beekeeping in Hawaii with Jenny Bach
This workshop will explore honey bee biology and regenerative beekeeping practices that support bee genetics and the natural health of colonies. If you’re interested in keeping bees at your home or simply want to learn more about beekeeping in Hawaiʻi and Hamakua, this class is for you. The workshop will include a visual lecture, honey tasting, and a Q&A session.
Jenny Bach, a beekeeper of over 20 years and teacher for nearly two decades, has a passion for honeybees and agriculture in Hawaii. Jenny has studied shamanic and ancient beekeeping in Europe and has cultivated a unique beekeeping practice that involves reverence and biology in efforts to support bees and their natural genetics.
We hope you joined us for the other parts of the series:
The Honeybee Education Program educates over 2000 youth and adults annually by offering hands-on workshops, builds community gardens, creates apiaries (bee yards) in local schools and trains farmers, youth students and community members to become beekeepers and create healthy pollinator habitat.
