24 Feb: Raising Goats, Homesteading Hawaii Style with Juliet Higgins
Ms. Higgins will be discussing types of goats, general goat care, kidding season, diagnostic, parasites, medications, disbudding, castrations, hoof care, shelter, feed, milking, cheese making, and the fecal cycle and the role of goats specifically to Homesteading Hawaii Style!
Ms. Higgins has been raising goats on her homestead for over 13 years. She wanted to continue in the dairy farming lines of her grandparents and also wanted a high quality nutrition source for her family, from goat dairy. Over the years she has learned a lot about Homesteading with Goats in Hawaii and looks forward to sharing her successes and lessons learned with attendees.
