A selfie of a man and a woman on a trail in Hawaii.

Author/illustrator duo Mak & Tea will read aloud their new picture book, Pau: The Last Song of the Kaua’i ‘Ōʻō (Candlewick Press, 2024). They will also discuss their process in creating this book together. Mak & Tea (Tony Piedra & Mackenzie Joy) consulted with Kaua’i Forest Bird Recovery Project to honor this extinct bird species native to Kauaʻi.

This program is for a general audience, and especially for children 4 years and up.

Mahalo nui to the Friends of Waimea Public Library for sponsoring this event!
