Join us for an author talk and discussion featuring historical fiction novelist Barbara Lazar who will read from her novel, The Pillow Book of the Flower Samurai.

The novel is set in 12th-century Japan. Kozaisho formerly Fifth Daughter begins her epic journey, finding herself being trained in the ancient warrior arts of the samurai.

Those interested in Japanese history will enjoy this event even without reading the book prior to the event. Library copies will be available for checkout during the event.
