BLACKS IN HAWAI’I AND THE PACIFIC: BOUNDARIES, STEREOTYPES, AND EXCLUSION

Dr. Kathryn Waddell Takara, Attorneys Daphne Barbee (Black History Maker Awardee) and André Wooten will discuss aspects of Black history in Hawai’i and the Pacific.
The event will feature a brief clip from the 1987 Marlon Riggs film Ethnic Notions and the 2015 Amie Batalibasi short film Blackbird.
