Join us on the lanai for a free brass quintet concert and demonstration featuring outstanding young musicians from the Hawaiʻi Youth Symphony’s Neighbor Island Tour and Outreach program. Four fellows visiting from the continent will be joined by Oʻahu-based tuba player Dan Honaker to present an engaging program of brass quintet music.
In addition to performing for audiences of all ages, the musicians are eager to connect with aspiring players and their families. Audience members are invited to stay after the concert to learn more about music education and career pathways.
This program is suitable for all ages. Program is sponsored by the Hawaii Youth Symphony & Pacific Music Institute.
Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required. All programs are subject to change. See a schedule of upcoming events on the HSPLS Events Calendar.
