Join visiting Australian yoga teacher and author Kate-Nirlipta for an engaging talk on the neuroscience of stress and simple ways to regulate the nervous system. Drawing from her book Release Trauma with Somatic Yoga, Kate-Nirlipta explains how stress affects the brain and body and shares practical tools that can be used anywhere.
The session includes a short, gentle seated somatic practice that helps participants experience how breath, awareness, and small movements can support calm and resilience. No yoga experience — and no mats — are required.
This 45–60 minute program includes time for questions and discussion.
Mahalo to the Friends of Kaimuki Public Library for helping sponsor this program.
