Celebrating Women with Author S. Barbara Hilyer

In honor of Women’s History Month join us for an author visit featuring S. Barbara Hilyer, niece to Hawai‘i politician Helene Hale. She will share her journey and passion honoring her auntie’s life story speaking about her new book “Helene Hale: Leading With Aloha.” Q&A to follow the book talk.

S. Barbara Hilyer spent her public school teaching career in Ashland, Oregon, where she taught elementary school. Also middle and high school social studies, including American History. She holds a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instructional Leadership.

No reservations needed. All ages welcome.
Books will be available for sale at the conclusion of the program.

Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required.
