Are you an aspiring artist ready to design and paint an indoor mural? The Hilo Public Library has a DOOR with your name on it! The Children’s Room has a wood doorway that will be your canvas for an installation based on the theme “A UNIVERSE OF STORIES.” This contest is sponsored by the Friends of the Hilo Public Library. CONTEST DETAILS: This contest is intended to provide a space for young artists ages 12 – 19 to share their talents and contribute to artwork in the library. The winning artist or artists will be presented with a $250 Amazon gift card upon installation of the door mural. Contest entries are due by November 2, 2019. Contest entry forms and guidelines are available at the young adult reference desk.
