Calling all young writers and storytellers! Join us for a two-part creative writing program designed to spark imagination and build confidence.
Part 1: Decorate Your Journal (1 hour)
Participants will design and decorate their own personal writing journal using a variety of craft supplies. This journal will be theirs to keep and use throughout the workshop—and beyond!
Part 2: Writing Workshop (1 hour)
In this guided session, children will learn the basics of storytelling and begin writing their own original story.
Children may attend either session independently, but attending both is encouraged for the full creative experience. No prior writing experience is needed—just bring your imagination!
This program is generously funded by Friends of the Libraries, Kona (F.O.L.K.).
Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required. Program schedule is subject to change.
