Please register to take this unique painting workshop that uses chocolate as the medium! This program is best suited for teens and adults who will not be tempted to eat the paint. 🙂

Subjects range from landscapes or abstract, free-style. Everyone will finish the workshop with their own mat-board framed chocolate creation.

PLEASE RSVP online so we can provide adequate supplies.

MaryAnne Long, a retired teacher from Massachusetts, has lived in Hau`ula for 30 years.  Through her volunteer work, she met an artist who convinced her to take oil painting classes.  After her first lesson, she became hooked on art.

She also paints in watercolor, gouache, and has developed her own chocolate paint.  Realizing that she needed to know how to draw, she signed up for online classes and found drawing to be the key to really believing in herself as an artist.  She does commission work and also donates many pieces to charities.

She also writes a monthly column, LONG on ART, in MidWeek’s Windward Voice. Her other hobbies are gardening (especially herbs) and consulting for non-profit organizations.

This program is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Library Kahuku.

All programs are subject to change. If you require an auxiliary aid or accommodation due to a disability, please contact the library at least 7 days before the program date.
