In order to prepare for this feast of sounds, local guitar prodigy IAN O’SULLIVAN offers a program that serves as an introduction to the nuances of sound, rhythm, and tradition that defines world music. O’Sullivan is a classically-trained guitarist and composer from Oahu’s North Shore. Well-versed in Hawaiian Music and the ‘ukulele and Western classic repertoire, O’Sullivan has performed internationally and throughout the U.S., including Carnegie’s Weill Recital Hall. He currently teaches at the University of Hawaii and at the Kamehameha Schools – Kapalama Campus.
