Join us as we participate in a nationwide commemoration of the first public reading of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. Libraries and communities across the country will gather to read this historic document and reflect on the ideals of liberty, equality, and democracy that helped shape the United States.

This special event marks the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and the founding of the United States of America. Together, we will honor this important milestone in our nation’s history and consider how the Declaration’s promises continue to inspire generations today. Free and open to all ages.

Copies of the Declaration of Independence will be provided to attendees while supplies last.
