Make It, Take It

April 23, 2026 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Two circular discs display a hand-drawn blue fish, the other a fishing net.

In the spirit of Earth Day, recycle an old CD/DVD into a thaumatrope! This simple, spinning toy creates an optical illustion as elements from opposite sides of the disk blend into one image. Catch an uhu in your ʻupena and more!

This program is facilitated by Friends of the Molokai Public Library volunteer Della Brown, a retired elementary school educator. All supplies provided. For children 3 and up; children must be accompanied by an adult.

Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required. All programs are subject to change. See a schedule of upcoming events on the HSPLS Events Calendar.
