Mahinaokalani Robbins is a PhD student at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. Her research is on Hawaiian volcanoes, specifically current and recent Kīlauea eruptions. She uses the chemistry of lava to interpret how magma is stored and transported beneath the surface of the earth. She will present types of volcanoes, the structure of a volcano, and types of lava flows through interactive demonstrations.
