An event every week that begins at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, repeating until September 27, 2022
It’s September, and that means Oktoberfest is just around the corner! Come to Wahiawa Public Library and learn about German language, culture, and history from native German, Angie Castellaw. In four sessions, we will look at Germany’s rich history of over 1000 years and how it affects daily life even today, Germany’s education and industry (find out which German products you have been using all along!), art, culture, sports, food, and so much more. Walk away with a new understanding of Germany’s influence on Hawaii’s history, some German phrases, and even a new German recipe or two. Audience participation is welcome; there will be a chance to ask what you’ve always been wondering about “Deutschland”. In case of enough interest, a formal FREE German language course may follow.
Sept. 6 @ 5:00pm
Sept. 13 @ 5:00pm
Sept. 20 @ 5:00pm
Sept. 27 @ 5:00pm
