An event every week that begins at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, repeating until October 22, 2024
October is German Heritage Month, and to celebrate, Wahiawa Library is holding four sessions that will explore Germany’s rich history of over 1,000 years in four sessions. In this fun series, we’ll examine how Germany continues to influence American daily life today, including aspects of education and industry (find out which German products you have been using all along!), art, culture, sports, food, and so much more. Walk away with a new understanding of Germany’s influence on Hawaii’s history, some German phrases, and even a new German recipe or two. This series is hosted by Angie Castellaw, a German native who lives and works in Wahiawa. Audience participation is welcome; there will be a chance to ask what you’ve always been wondering about “Deutschland.” If there is enough interest or demand, a German language course may follow.
Event dates:
October 1 @ 5:00pm
October 8 @ 5:00pm
October 15 @ 5:00pm
October 22 @ 5:00pm
