E Hoʻomanaʻo

February 25, 2025 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Black and white portraits of Kamehameha IV and Princess Ruth Keʻelikōlani

Coordinated by Mercy Ritte of ʻĀina Momona, the E Hoʻomanaʻo program series remembers and celebrates the lives of aliʻi and other historical Hawaiian figures. Join us for presentations of moʻolelo, mele, hula and oli by multiple organizations- from keiki to kūpuna- throughout the year.

In Pepeluali, we recognize the birthdays of King Kamehameha IV, Alexander Liholiho and Princess Ruth Keʻelikōlani, both born on February 9th.

We will continue to gather on the last Tuesday of each month.

Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required.
All programs are subject to change. See a schedule of upcoming events on the HSPLS Events Calendar.
