E Hoʻomanaʻo: Queen Liliʻuokalani

September 24, 2024 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

A black and white portrait of Queen Liliuokalani in regalia

Coordinated by Mercy Ritte of ʻĀina Momona, the E Hoʻomanaʻo program series remembers and celebrates the lives of aliʻi and other historical Hawaiian figures. Join us for presentations of moʻolelo, mele, hula and oli by multiple organizations- from keiki to kūpuna- throughout the year.

In Kepakemaka, we recognize Queen Lydia Liliʻu Loloku Walania Wewehi Kamakaʻeha, born on the 2nd in 1838 and feature guest speaker Kalei Roberts of Awaiaulu.

We will continue to gather on the last Tuesday of each month.

Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required.
All programs are subject to change. See a schedule of upcoming events on the HSPLS Events Calendar.
