The Ala Kahakai National Historic Trail is a 175-mile trail corridor of ancient and historic coastal routes; reconnecting our traditional ahupuaʻa to unite local communities around common goals to preserve Hawaiʻi’s vast cultural and ecological landscape. Working together communities and descendants are guided by Hawaiian values, traditions, and perspectives.
