Pohakukauea “Pohaku” Kekaualua is a Native Hawaiian cultural practitioner, educator, and professional bodyboarder based on the island of Kaua’i. He offers culturally grounded tours, sharing local history, stories (mo’olelo), chants (oli), and ocean conservation practices. He is highly regarded in the Kaua’i community for his deep connection to the land (‘āina) and ocean. People who take his excursions—which span from kayaking the Wailua River to hiking Waimea Canyon—often highlight how his storytelling and ceremonies provide a rich, authentic indigenous perspective on the island’s landscape.

Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible.
