About the “Ring of Fire” (Annular Solar Eclipse)
Visible on Kauai: Wednesday, October 2, 2024. Begins at 6:29 am to 6:45 am, maximum.

The annular solar eclipse, occurs when the moon passes in front of the sun. The view of the sun is not completely blocked out by the moon. The result is a “ring of fire” effect. NASA says that the next “ring of fire” event won’t happen in the U.S. until 2039!
