September is Fall Prevention Month! Join us for a program by Stan Michaels, a Senior Fall Prevention Specialist with the Hawai’i Department of Health. He will provide an anecdotal and humorous presentation on the realities of aging. Stan will discuss the increased risk of falls as a person’s mobility, hearing, vision, focus, and core cognitive skills deteriorate. He will also provide five strategies for kupuna to adopt and practice in order to reduce their risk of injury and/or death related to falls.

This 45-minute program is suitable for adults, kupuna, and caregivers.

Registration is required and space is limited. Please call the library at 808-377-2456 to reserve a spot.

All programs are subject to change. If you require an auxiliary aid or accommodation due to a disability, please contact the library at least 7 days before the program date.
