Learn fun ways to encourage children’s mathematical thinking in this 6 week program for parents and children ages 6 to 9 years. A parent is asked to attend with each child.

Dr. Catherine Sophian, Professor Emerita, developmental psychologist, and author of two books about children’s mathematical thinking, will present fun math activities for children and guide parents in developing ways to incorporate engaging math activities in the everyday family life.

Family Math is scheduled for the following Saturdays at 3 pm: Oct. 6, 13, and 20, and Nov. 3, 10, and 17. Space is limited. Sign-ups can be done for the entire 6 weeks or for singular days. Call Kailua Public Library at 266-9911 to register.

All programs are subject to change. If you require an auxiliary aid or accommodation due to a disability, please contact the library at least 7 days before the program date.
