Fantastic Fish Fedora

August 17, 2024 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Artist Patricia Brubaker wearing her handmade crown

During this “playshop” participants create their own whimsical headdress using provided templates to upcycle used paper and cardboard.  Adults and children with adult assistance will use scissors, box cutters, and hot glue guns to fashion a fantastic fish to swim through the Library on parade. Will you choose a humuhumunukunukuapuaʻa (reef triggerfish), an ahi (yellowfin tuna), or a Rainbow Fish (like from the book, The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister)?

Space is Limited. Call 808-831-6831 or stop by the Info Desk for more information.

Sponsored by the Friends of Salt Lake-Moanalua Library

Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged but not required. Program schedule is subject to change.
