Food Education Author Talk: Dr. Renee Dufault

July 1, 2026 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Dr. Renee Dufalt, female, smiling

Each year, Americans consume hundreds of food products that contain dangerous elements and compounds. Co-exposures to these elements are the primary agents of western disease. Dr. Dufault, Co-founder and Executive Director of the non-profit Food Ingredient and Health Research Institute, will take us on an investigative journey to uncover how these substances get in our food and what the latest research reveals. Program is suitable for adults.

All attendees to programs and events during the Summer Reading Challenge at Kealakekua Library will receive a raffle ticket for a special branch prize to be drawn at the end of July!

Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required. All programs are subject to change.
