Our Friday Matinee series continues with Cameron Crowe’s 2005 romantic dramedy Elizabethtown. Check out the plot summary below!

“Yesterday, Drew Baylor (Orlando Bloom) was a promising sneaker designer. Today, he has cost his company 972 million dollars (let’s just round it to a billion), lost his job and his girlfriend, Ellen (Jessica Biel) and gotten a call that his father has died in Kentucky. On his way to Elizabethtown, Drew meets Claire Colburn (Kirsten Dunst), a wise and quirky flight attendant, who helps him navigate his grief and complex family ties.”

This program is sponsored by the Princeville Public Library and the Friends of the North Shore Library at Princeville. The film’s runtime is 123 minutes. Rated PG-13. Movie license provided by Swank Movie Licensing, U.S.A. The screening will take place in the Meeting Room. Patrons under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

Please contact the hosting library 15 days in advance to request a sign language interpreter or if any special accommodations are needed.  The film will be screened with subtitles on. Mahalo!
