New Here? Tips & Tricks for Gardening in Hawai’i:

Just moved to Hawai’i? Want to garden but don’t know where to begin? How can you apply your Mainland gardening skills to Hawai’i Island? In this explorative workshop, we’ll discuss the challenges and opportunities of gardening in Hawai’i, practical ways to grow soil, manage invasive plants and animals, ways to source quality plants/seeds, some insect management, and more!

Program is suitable for age 16 and over. All children must be accompanied by a parent or an adult caregiver.

Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required. Program schedules are subject to change. Events will not be held on State holidays.
