Gardens and Grass: A Simple Approach

March 9, 2019 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

papaya tree

A plant is a living, breathing organism with basic needs. Adequate sunlight, ample drainage, and room to grow are some of the necessities for a plant’s survival. Whether it be a grass plant, vegetable, fruit or flowering tree, the right balance of physical and chemical conditions is needed for the plant to thrive. The challenges begin when the balance becomes skewed. Plant selection is the key to success.

Please join us in the First Floor Reading Room for a presentation by Jason Amoy, a horticulturist and golf course superintendent.

All programs are subject to change. If you require an auxiliary aid or accommodation due to a disability, please contact the library at least 7 days before the program date.
